Simplifying Y = 3bx + -7 Reorder the terms: Y = -7 + 3bx Solving Y = -7 + 3bx Solving for variable 'Y'. Move all terms containing Y to the left, all other terms to the right. Simplifying Y = -7 + 3bx

y = 3bx - 7....add 7 to both sides
y + 7 = 3bx ...now divide both sides by 3b
