-5.5(d-2) = -12.1
Divide both sides by -5.5
d - 2 = -12.1 / -5.5
Add 2 to both sides
d = (12.1 / 5.5) + 2
d = 2.2 + 2
d = 4.2

divide both sides by -5.5.
simplify -12.1/-5.5 to 2.2.
add 2 to both sides
simplify 2.2 + 2 to 4.2
Answer: d = 4.2
