The slope intercept form of a straight line is y = mx + b where m = slope and b = y intercept
Here we have m = -1 and b = -6 so it is
y = -x - 6

This would be y=-x-6. The slope is the number before x and the y intercept is the number coming after. This shows that it must be y=-1x-6
