And, the nearest half of the fraction
(8)/(9) is 1 ( because

Thus the product of the fraction estimated in the nearest half is,

0.5×1= 0.50

Actual product =
(5)/(8)* (8)/(9)=
(5)/(9)= 0.55

Thus, by taking nearest half answer is 0.50 while in simple product answer is 0.55 ( approx).
