There are five different values for the rainfall on each city. Then, add all the values of each row and divide the sum by 5 to find the mean monthly rainfall. Then, compare boht cities.

City A:

(1.7+3.3+1.5+3.8+0.2)/(5)=(10.5)/(5)=2.1

City B:

(0.7+3.1+4.5+2.2+1.1)/(5)=(11.6)/(5)=2.32

The mean monthly rainfall in City A is 2.1 inches, and the mean monthly rainfall in City B is 2.32 inches.

Then, the mean monthly rainfall in City B is greater than the mean monthly rainfall in City A.
