The cardinity of the set is the number of elements in the set.

So, the cardinity of the set M is n(M)=3.

The subsets of the set M is,


\mleft\{a\mright\},\mleft\{b\mright\},\mleft\{c\mright\},\mleft\{a,b\mright\},\mleft\{b,c\mright\},\mleft\{a,c\mright\},\mleft\{a,b,c\mright\},\varnothing

Hence, there are 8 subsets of the set M and cardinity is 4 of the set M.
