THe answer is -7+1i.

I just did the assignment as well, hope this helps!

Answer:

Other endpoint will be (i - 7).

Explanation:

A segment in the complex plane has a midpoint at (-1.5 + 3.5i).

If one end point of the segment is at (4 + 6i) then we have to find other endpoint.

Let the other endpoint is x.

As we know midpoint x' of a segment having two endpoints a and b is represented by

x=(a+b)/(2)

So
-1.5 + 3.5i=[(x+(4+6i))/(2)]

-3+7i=x+(4+6i)

x = -(4 + 6i) + (-3 + 7i)

x = -4 - 3 - 6i + 7i

x = (i - 7)

Other endpoint will be (i - 7)
