Before the French and Indian War, the American colonies were suffering from scarcity of land. The population of the colonies had increased significantly and demand for land had increased as well. These factors had several effects, but the most significant one was the fact that this increased tensions with Native Americans and the French. As Native Americans were removed from their lands in order to give them to European settlers, resentment increased, as well as conflict between the three groups. This created the necessary conditions for the war to begin.
