If the planes overlap, the planes can intersect an infinite number of times, so the maximum is infinity. Planes might never intersect in the case that they're parallel, so the minimum is 0.

Answer:

The maximum number of times two planes can intersect is:

Infinite number of times.

The number of times they can intersect is:

Zero.

Explanation:

In three dimensional geometry--

Two planes may:

  • Never intersect ( they could be parallel planes )
  • May intersect in a line.
  • and they can be the same plane i.e. the intersection is a entire plane.
