Humans can do better to combat the effects of global warming. The first and main thing to do will be to reduce the acceleration of the global warming process, instead of only trying to combat its effects. Overfishing, industrialization, consumerism, oil drilling, nitrogen containing fertilisers and deforestation are some of the human activities that are still happening in a large scale and they cause global warming. So they should be reduced or extinguished.

As for the effects already in place, some actions that can take place are reforestation, replace non-renewable energy with renewable energy and reducing water waste. Still, it is important to speak up and create debates in which big companies are also accountable, as they are the most responsible for enhancing global warming levels. This shows us that individual actions may not be enough to combat the effects sufficiently, and we need collective actions and debates in order to achieve that goal.
