ratios stay the same, they are either multiplied or divided by some factor to make it larger or smaller.

3/11 = 33/x
cross multiply
(3)(x) = (33)(11)
3x = 363
x = 363/3
x = 121 .....so Shane has 121
together, Isabella and Shane have : 33 + 121 = 154 <==
