Food codes are used by food-service operations to make sure people are handling and serving food properly. Similar to MSDS, they set out the guidelines for how to handle, prepare, and store foodstuffs. Making sure that foods are at the proper storage and serving temperatures can alleviate the risk of infection or spoilage.
