Write a set of directions for dividing 3.6 by 0.25. Then find the quotient.

Please help you don't have to find the quotient.
But I really need help explaining I suck at giving directions
I REALLY NEED HELP PLEASE

Dividing 3.6 by 0.25 follows the following generic approach : You have to firstly need to multiply both divisor and dividend by that number such that the divisor becomes a whole number first .

So we multiply both dividend and divisor by 100 such that the problem converts to 3.6*100/0.25*100 = 360 being divided by 25 .

So the approach to divide a number froma decimal number is to first convert problem into dividing the number from a whole number , by multiplying both the number and divisor from the approriate number . Which was in above problem comes out to be 100 .
