Answer:

American citizens enjoy certain freedoms and rights. These are outlined in the Constitution. A few rights include the freedom of speech and religious freedom. Americans also have the right to a fair trial. And they can vote in elections. All citizens have the freedom to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is a responsibility of the US Government to register with the Selective Service System when a US citizen exceeds 18 but under 20 seven years of age.

Step-by-step explanation:

The purpose for registering with the Selective Service System is a duty required by the United States Government when an individual U.S. citizen reaches the age of eighteen but under twenty seven. This is an obligation to register so that if needed in a time of war, you will be conscripted in the military. The U.S.A has an all volunteer military currently, however in a desperate time of need, it may require additional citizens to help defend the country. This is where the selective service can call upon the registered individuals to become part of the military.
