square area formula is length times width, so we multiply 4 x 4

4x4 = 16 square cm

triangle area formula is base x height x 1/2 (divide by two)

4 x 6 = 24 x 1/2 = 12

multiply 12 by four to account for all triangles

12 x 4 = 48

add both areas

16 + 48 = 64

The surface area of this net is 64 sq cm.
