Paraphrasing is a way of expressing the thoughts of another person in your own words. When you read something, you can form that idea into your own words and write them out. That would be paraphrasing. Paraphrasing is a great concept to use for writing research papers. You do not want to write exactly what the other person has said, so you put those thoughts into words that are similar.
