The solubility of salt usually increases when the temperature increases. Therefore, when the temperature decreases the salt becomes less soluble in water.

Step-by-step explanation:

A salt becomes less soluble in water when temperature of water decreases. That is, when temperature of water begins to go below 25 degree Celsius then solubility of salt into water will also decrease.

Whereas when temperature of water is increased above 25 degree Celsius then there will be increase in solubility of salt also. This is because increase in temperature will cause more collisions between salt and water molecules,

Thus, this will lead to more solubility.

But decrease in temperature means no more collisions between water and salt molecules. Thus, solubility will decrease with decrease in temperature.
