The measure of an angle is 8 greater than 3 times its supplement. What is the measure of the angle?

8+3x(=the angle were looking for)+x=180
8+4x=180
8-8+4x=180-8
4x=172
4x/4=172/4
x=43(measure of the supplement)
43 times 3 =129
129+8=137
137 is your answer.
checking work 137+43=180
