Area of semicircle=
$\pi$ r²
R is radius
So half of D is the radius, which is 14cm
So the answer is=
$\pi$ x 14²
= 196
$\pi$ cm²

Normal circle area is πr², which is (d/2)²π.
That makes your case 14²π divided by 2 is 196π/2=98π cm²
