first, we need to get rid of the denominator. to do so, we will simply multiply all terms by 12 (which is the result of 3*4).
(3x/4)(12)+(2/3)(12)=(x/3)(12)
9x + 8 = 4x
then we will separate the variable in one side and solve to get its value
9x-4x = -8
5x = -8
x = -8/5
