2x+6=6(x-4)
use the distributive property with the 6 to get
2x+6=6x-24
Subtract 2x from both sides to get
6=4x-24
add 24 from both sides to isolate the variable to get
30=4x
Divide both sides by 4 to get
15/2=x
7.5=x
Hope this helped!
