God. Not in the sense that he was directly sent from the heavens, but in the sense that he was considered to be a direct representative of the heavens.

In addition to being the leader of Egypt, pharaoh also played as a "god".

The people of Egypt was told that Pharoahs were appointed by God himself and that they were demi-gods of a sort
