10 people are going to the park. If each car holds 5 people, how many cars do they need?

Well, if 10 people are heading to the park and each car holds 5 people, we can write the equation, "5x = 10" so, we need to get x by itself. To do that we need to get rid of the five. Whatever we do to one side, we do to the other. So 5/10 = 2 so, 2 cars are needed. Hope that helps! :)
