The type of energy provided by carbohydrate molecules is CHEMICAL ENERGY.
Chemical energy is important for our body function because this is the energy that the body use as fuel in order to obtain energy for all the processes that occur in the body. The chemical energy is also converted to thermal energy in order to produce the necessary heat that the body needs.
