The Neolithic period was particularly significant for human history because it witnessed what is known as the Agricultural Revolution. This was the moment in which nomadic tribes began to settle down and practice farming.

One of the most important innovations of the Neolithic period was the use of stone tools. This was a major leap in technology because it allowed people to accomplish many complex tasks more easily. This includes cutting their food, creating houses, manipulating their environment and producing items such as skin hides. We can compare this leap in technology to the use of robotics towards the end of the last century. Robotics also enable people to perform complex tasks in easier, faster and more precise ways.
