3 1/3= 10/3
2 1/3= 7/3
7/3 + 10/3= 17/3
17/3 (2)+ 34/3
34/3= 11 1/3
final answer = 11 1/3

Answer:

(34)/(3) = 11(1)/(3)

Explanation:

A rectangle is 3 1/3 ft long and 2 1/3 feet wide

3 (1)/(3) =(3\cdot 3+1)/(3) =(10)/(3) (Length)

2(1)/(3) =(2\cdot 3+1)/(3) =(7)/(3) (width)

To find the distance around the rectangle we find the perimeter

Perimeter = 2(length)+2(width)

P=
2((10)/(3) )+2((7)/(3) )= (20)/(3) +(14)/(3) =(34)/(3)

(34)/(3) = 11(1)/(3)
