y=3x-(1/4)
To find the inverse, flip x and y and solve for y.
x=3y-(1/4)
x+(1/4)=3y
(x+ 1/4)/3= y
Final answer: y= (x+1/4)/3
The x+ 1/4 should have both terms over 3.
