The perimeter is all the sides of a figure added together.
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + w)
The perimeter is 40 meters.
The width is 9 meters.
40 = 2(l + 9)
40 = 2l + 18
22 = 2l
11 = l
The length of Judy's patio is:
11 meters.
