This is a sohcahtoa question, in this case itd be cosine. The "cah" part stands for cos(x)=adjacent/hypotenuse. Using numbers it would be cos(x)=4/12. To find x youd have to take the cos^-1 of both sides so x=cos^-1(4/12)

Answer: The value of x is 70.52°.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of ladder = 12 foot

Length of base = 4 feet

We need to find the value of 'x'.

We will use "Cosine of triangle":

\cos x=(4)/(12)\\\\x=\cos^(-1)((1)/(3))\\\\x=70.52^\circ

Hence, the value of x is 70.52°.
