Step Number 1. Subtract 5 from the whole equation.

7-5\ \textless \ -2x\ \textless \ 17-5

Step Number 2. Simplify

2\ \textless \ -2x\ \textless \ 12

Step Number 3. Divide the whole equation by -2

-1\ \textgreater \ x\ \textgreater \ -(12)/(2)

Step Number 4. Simplify

-1\ \textgreater \ x\ \textgreater \ -6

Done! :)
