Your brother orders bacon and eggs, milk, and pancakes. You order chicken, shrimp, and lemonade. How much did you each spend? What is the difference in price between your orders? You are going to split the bill, what will each person pay? Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

Order of the brother:

• Bacon and eggs --> $3.99

,

• Milk --> $0.95

,

• Pancakes --> $2.55

We add the prices to find how much he spend:

3.99+0.95+2.55=7.49

The brother spend $7.49

Your order:

• Chicken -->$4.74

,

• Shrimp --> $4.10

,

• Lemonade --> $0.77

We add the prices to find how much you spend:

4.74+4.10+0.77=9.61

You spend $9.61

To find the difference in price between the two orders we substract the price that the brother pay, from what you pay:

9.61-7.49=2.12

The difference is $2.12

Finally, if they split the bill equally, we need to add the two costs and divide them by 2 to find how much each person will pay:

7.49+9.61=17.1

Dividing by 2:

(17.1)/(2)=8.55

If they split the bill, each will pay $8.55
