Answer:

When he returned to Milan, Leonard da Vince worked on the telescope's improvement and made an effort to make scientific observations.

Step-by-step explanation:

In mid-1482, Ludovico Sforza, then Duke of Milan, proposed to Leonardo Da Vinci the challenge of building an equestrian monument in honor of his predecessor, Francesco Sforza. Because of this proposal Leonardo da Vince returned to Milan, however, he never finalized this monument because he preferred to make scientific observations, with the telescope created by him.

He designed a telescope more than a century before Dutch optician Hans Lippershey (1587-1619), who inspired, in 1609, Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). His speculations about the stars - with few exceptions - did not far exceed the knowledge generally accepted in the fifteenth century.
