Why should psychologists question the results of an experiment that they have conducted for the first time?

The psychologists should question the results of an experiment that they have conducted for the first time to examine if there are some mistakes or errors in the result in order to improve it the next time they do the same experiment.
Another reason can be that they need to make sure that nothing else has affected the outcome or result of that experiment!
