Output pollution control could be for emissions, for human faecal waste and for garbage for example. For emissions like pollutants that can cause acid rain, there needs to be more effective scrubbers to remove the chemicals that can cause the pollutants and for acid generating rock at mine waste dumps there needs to be first isolation of the pertinent rock and then do such things as submerge it below water or neutralize it with carbonates like limestone. The 3 R's need to be implemented to solve the problem of pollutants ie reduce recycle and reuse. For human faecal matter, it can contaminate water but if treated it can be used as a bio solid as a growing medium for example for mine waste dumps. For garbage, to prevent the necessity of shipping garbage from cities to the country beside villages and exporting the problem, city dump life can be extended by residential recycling programs of cardboard, plastics, glass etc and also compost to divert waste products back to re-use.
