In a recent survey, two-thirds of the 234 students in a freshman class said they watch television shows on their computer. Determine the correct arithmetic set up for determining how many students watch television on their computer

Essentially, arithmetic set here means "number", so what we will be interested in is the answer to this question can be found here:

'two-thirds of the 234'.

that's all we need to know here. So let's count:

(2)/(3) *234=2*78=156

so the answer is simply 156!

We know that 2/3 of all students watch TV shows on their computers.
And 234 students were in that survey.
2 / 3 * 234 = 156
Answer: 156 students watch shows on their computer.
