If your fraction is 6/2
you would divide it by 2
Hence, 6 divided by 2 = 3

If your fraction is 8/2 then you simply divide 8 by 2 and you get 4. You basically see how many times the bottom number goes into the top number because, for instance, 2/2 would be 1.
