Chloromethane can be broken down in many ways. It's made up of a Chlorine and Methane. Methane is an Alkane that can be further broken down into Carbon and Hydrogen. The chemical formula for it would be CH3Cl.

Chloromethane's chemical formula is CH↓3Cl.
C is carbon.
H3 is triatomic hydrogen.
Cl is Chlorine
