Think about using decimal models to show 6.84. If you only used tenths what place would you not be able to model?

You would not be able to model the hundredths because it comes after the tenths place.

Answer:

Therefore, we cannot model 6.84 wherever we refer hundredths place.

Examples:

Referring money, length of things which is combination of meters and centimeters, measuring lands and so on.

Explanation:

The given decimal number is 6.84

We have two digits after the decimal points, that is tenths and hundredths.

.8 =
(8)/(10)

.04 =
(4)/(100)

Here the question is in what place are we not able to use when we use tenths place only.

We cannot use this model when mention the money because $100 = 100 cents

and measuring the lengths in combination of meter and centimeter because 1 meter = 100 centimeters

Therefore, we cannot model 6.84 wherever we refer hundredths place.

Examples:

Referring money, length of things which is combination of meters and centimeters, measuring lands and so on.
