Line I is mapped onto line m by a dilation centered at the origin with a scale factor of Line m is represented by y = 2x + 10 and it passes through the point (1,12). Which of the following is true about line 12 А Linel is parallel to m line. B Linel is perpendicular to line m. Line I passes through the origin. D Line I is the same as line m.

The given equation is

y=2x+10

If Line l is mapped onto line m then they are not parallel because the transformation is a dilation with a scale factor of 2/5.

We can find the equation for Line l, we just have to multiple Line m with 5/2, the inverse of the dilation.

\begin{gathered} y=(5)/(2)(2x+10) \\ y=5x+25 \end{gathered}
