Good scientists use their imagination. What do you think is the difference between being imaginative in doing science and doing pseudoscience?

Answer:

Imagination is the ability of a man to form mental images without using any senses.

Imagination plays an important role in scientific investigations as it provides an insight of "if and what" conditions but imagination in doing science and pseudoscience has different meanings.

While doing science, persons imaginative ideas can be tested and proved logical or illogical but in pseudoscience, which is based on the belief system, the imagination of a person do not have proofs to support the science.

The difference between the imaginative in doing science and doing pesudoscience is that in using imagination, it is a way of creating things out of your imaginations and creativity but in pseudoscience, it is driven not by imagination but the experiment and studies being conducted is driven by the beliefs of a person in which he or she thinks is based on science when it could lead to mistakes.
