You can always use money as integers.
Think of 0 as your starting budget in your bank account. A positive integer would be added money and a negative would be subtracted money.
You deposit $25 into it (+25). Then you buy something that is $35 and deduct 35 (-35) from your account. This will leave you with -$10.
