Explanation:

Q= -3(x + 4)+5x = 3(-2x-4)+8x

first : -3 multiply both x and 4 and 3 multiply both -2x and -4

then : -3x-12+5x = -6x-12+8x

and then collect like terms ; -3x+5x -12= -6x+8x-12

= 2x -12 = 2x-12

finally, 2x-2x = -12+12

0 = 0
