Risky behavior in youths can have an impact on communities in different ways. Risky behavior that includes criminal activities affect the social, economic, physical and emotional well being of communities. Communities riddled by crime will erode the social structure and limit social interaction and cooperation among members. Crime will affect the economy as it hinders investment and decreased productivity in human resources. The mental health of families and community members will be affected as they might constantly live in fear or may be otherwise negatively influenced by the rising crime among youths.
