Greetings!

"Solve the equation
2a+3=1/2(6+4a)"...

Solve for a.

2a+3=1/2(6+4a)
Distribute the Parenthesis.

2a+3=(1/2*6)+(1/2*4a)
Simplify.

2a+3=(0.5*6)+(0.5*4a)

2a+3=3+2a
Add -2a to both sides.

(2a+3)+(-2a)=(3+2a)+(-2a)
Simplify.

3=3
Add -3 to both sides.

(3)+(-3)=(3)+(-3)
Simplify.
0=0

All real numbers are a solution to the variable a.

Hope this helps.
