Greetings!

To solve for
5-5x=14-8x...

Add 5x to both sides.

(5-5x)+5x=(14-8x)+5x
Add like terms.

5=14-3x
Add -14 to both sides.

(5)+(-14)=(14-3x)+(-14)
Simplify.

-9=-3x
Divide both sides by -3.

(-9)/-3=(-3x)/-3
Simplify.

x=3

The answer is: x=3

Hope this helps.
