Hᴇʏ! Hope that I can help!
To do this, follow these steps.

1. Simplify the problem:
5x-9=2x-122. Subtract 2x from both:
3x-9=-12
3. Add 9 to both sides:
3x=-3
4. Divide both sides by 3:
x=-1

Answer: x = -1
