absolute values tell u how far the number is from 0. Absolute values will always be positive.
so | 5 | = 5....because it is 5 spaces from 0
and | -5 | = 5...because it is 5 spaces from 0, just in the other direction
so ur answer is : -5 and 5 have the same absolute value because they are both 5 spaces from 0
