4(average cups per minute) times 120(2 hours in minutes)= 480 divided by 16(cups in gallon) = 30 gallons

Answer:

30 gallons

Explanation:

Given,

The number of cups poured in one minute = 4,

Also, 1 hour = 60 minutes,

⇒ 2 hours = 2 × 60 = 120 minutes,

Thus, the number of cups poured in 2 hour = 120 × number of cups in one minute,

= 120 × 4

= 480,

Now, 1 gallon = 16 cups,

\implies 1\text{ cup} =(1)/(16)\text{ gallon}

Thus, the number of gallons in 480 cups = 480 × number of gallons in 1 cup

=480* (1)/(16)

= 30

Hence, 30 gallons should be catered.
