Barry Carl is an American performer and commentary actor best recognized as the bass of the acappella vocal band Rockapella while the group was the house band on the PBS children's geography game show Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?. Starting in 1984, Carl has done voice over work for many kinds of mass media. He started out freelance for about five years, and then engaged on with William Morris Agency for ten years. Since then he has been with Abrams Artists Agency. For many years he was the voice of the papa bear in the Charmin television ads.
