If point A is located at (-7,5) on a coordinate plane and point B is located at (4,5), what is the distance between the two points?

Answer: 11 units

Explanation:

The distance between points P(a,b) and Q(c,d) is given by :-


d=√((d-b)^2+(c-a)^2)

Similarly , the distance between the two points (-7,5) and (4,5) is given by :-


d=√((5-5)^2+(4-(-7))^2)\\\\\Rightarrow\ d=√(0+(11)^2)=11

Hence, the the distance between the two points = 11 units
